English-Inspired, Full Bodied Stout
We use classic Maris Otter Pale malt as the base. Flaked oats help with extra body and creaminess, with additional Munich, biscuit, chocolate malts and roasted barley added for flavour and colour. Subtle Goldings hops enhance balanced bitterness and flavour. This is a rich, dark beer with a creamy white head, best served on a traditional English hand pull.
Mexican-Style Lager
This is our latest addition to the brewery and is a great summer drinker. Using a mixture of flaked corn and pilsner barley, this light coloured, light bodied beer is great for a beer garden session in Summer. Low alcohol, low bitterness, with the flavour of a classic Mexican lager and a hint of lime citrus from the addition of Motueka hops late in the boil.
Munich-Style Lager
This is our heavy lager, tailored to the classic Aussie lager drinker. A medium bodied, refreshing, crisp beer with a slight perceived sweetness, balanced with some bitterness and flavoured with delicious Saaz hops. We condition this for months in lagering tanks and the result is a super clean and crisp beer.
Mid-Strength Lager
This is our answer to Australia’s most popular beer currently. Low alcohol, low bitterness with a small amount of Czech Saaz hops to add some flavour to a simple, sessionable beer.
American-Style Pale Ale
Inspired by the classic West Coast American Pale Ale, our version is slightly lower in alcohol and has a delicious citrus/stonefruit flavour and aroma from US Citra and Mosaic hops.
We are Hamish Chirnside and Liz Smith, who own & run a small farm brewery located near Lake Meran in North-West Victoria. We currently supply kegs to venues & sports clubs within our local region.
With backgrounds in horticulture/agriculture and quality, Hamish & Liz share a passion for brewing & are working to grow both the grain & hops on the farm, to craft truly sustainable & great beer.
We make a wide-range of beers, taking inspiration from traditional beer styles from all over the world, adding our own local twist.
We are also looking to expand the business into commercial malting, using barley and other grains from the farm in our own beers, as well as selling to other breweries & distilleries in our region.
We also have our distilling licence & have heritage cider apple trees planted, so in the future we hope to have a wide range of alcohol products available!
